WaitingSometimes reality  is not only stranger  than fiction.  It's scarier too.   
Sometimes at night when I'm asleep,  I see these shapes moving in the dark.  And I know they're just waiting,  But I'm not quite sure what for.   
Then the whispering starts.  Just tiny whispers, barely there.  They repeat all my secrets and lies,  All my mistakes, my regrets.   
The whispers I can handle.  I drown them out with music.  
But then they find a way into the music,  Beating their accusations into my head.

Reality is FrighteningFerris wheels and candy corn,  
Haunted houses, spook trails,  Trick-or-treaters asking for candy.  This is Halloween.   
But yet, it's not.  This Halloween isn't scary.  The black and orange aren't for the holidays.  To me, they're only school colors.   
These ghouls and goblins don't frighten me,  Wicked witches and werewolves are too cliché.  It's all fake blood and face paint,  What's so scary about that?   
This day feels like a waste to me.  I want imagination, I want to be afraid.  But no, we can't be too scary,  It's politically incorrect, w Reality is Frightening

Hello, my dear.  I hope this letter finds you well.  I miss your words of hope and light,  Both of which are in short supply here.

So I noticed it's been over a month since my last journal. Figured an update was due.
Debate season is almost over! And I'm really glad, because my coach is getting pretty fierce. In the mean way. I mean, I know we named ourselves the Debater Gators, but sheesh D: She gets all Catholic-conservative on us all the time for different stuff, things that she would normally laugh at.
Forensics season will be much better. I just have to find a poetry selection for it.

Regarding art, I write when I'm not doing homework. Meaning, when I'm not finding ways to procrastinate homework xD I always get inspired at the busiest times. Cah-razy.
I feel really Christmas-y lately. My World History teacher played Christmas music for us today. I was so happy, I was like a five-year-old surrounded by teenagers :D
Music has been really wonderful for me as of late. All my music sounds good. I've been listening to a lot of old stuff. Lot of Paramore, Blue October, Linkin Park, Anberlin, some Chevelle. Takes me back to when I was 12 and 13, and I'm reminded of so many things I loved. I guess you never appreciate what you're going through until it's over :heart:
I also made some new friends that I'm really happy about :D And I have semi-formals this Friday, so I'm pretty excited. After last week being super huge on homework, it's really nice to relax this week.

Um...I think that's all.
